It’s almost May and we’ve barely posted much at all this year which gives you an idea of how busy it has been at the Studio.

One of the biggest changes in our industry has been the proliferation of AI.
It seems that everyone is using it.
No doubt, it’s eye-opening in both good and bad ways.
However from a webdesign point of view it means many people are now looking to do more things themselves.
Whether that’s trying to code, editing images, or designing things, it’s fascinating to see.
Overall what we are finding is users are getting to a certain point before realising the time/effort cost is still quite high.
So, by all means use AI, but when you find it’s taking up more time than you want – get in touch with us.
New clients from across the UK
We posted previously about areas we cover in the UK and every week we get calls from people looking for help.
Some people do request help from local companies but here is what we think:
- Working with local freelancers, providers and creatives is great for your community.
- If you can’t find the right resource locally it makes sense to widen the net.
- As an SME ourselves we can provide that ‘local’ service to you wherever in the UK you are.
Overall, the desire to work with someone nearby makes sense to us.
It shouldn’t be the only requirement though, and you should opt for the company who gives you best value for money.

We wrote about this not too long back but we believe our long-term commitment to jobs, easy-going and relaxed culture, and attention to detail is why customers choose us.

Pop down to see us at The Waterfront
We relocated last year to the Waterfront in Brierley Hill and although we aren’t fully settled in, we’re getting there.
It’s a great location, and parking is free and plentiful (which in itself is a huge improvement).
It’s been really exciting working with the team at the Waterfront and we’re hoping to do some bigger things in the coming months, and working with more tenants.

Working on Saas-based projects
One of the most exciting updates at StudioRav is our focus on custom apps and Saas-based projects.
Saas (Software as a service) refers to platforms and apps where multiple users can sign up and use your services.
It’s a big leap forward over just creating websites or ecommerce stores and the opportunities are immense.
