Why take part in #TheBigIdeaWestMids?

Be as creative as you can

The whole point of this competition is to see if we can come up with good ideas. We want students from all walks of life to think outside the box, kick it over, set it on fire and come up with amazing ideas. Everything you see around you started off as an idea so who knows – you could be onto something brilliant. (And don’t worry we’re not going to steal it!)

Help your community

The best ideas help those around you. Think about the websites or apps you use everyday and how they have improved your life. This is what we want you to come up. Your ideas could be based around local business, the elderly, helping families or something else. The key thing is that lots of people should be able to access it and get something out of it. Think big!

Change things

Lots of new technologies have been labelled as ‘disruptors’ meaning they have disrupted existing industries. Can you think of something that does the same? Whether you realise it or not you have the opportunity to change and improve things just by finding creative solutions to existing problems.
